How-To Tech Class

These classes are designed to help you become more confident with technology in a supportive and interactive environment. Each class focuses on a different technology topic, ensuring that you gain a broad range of digital skills. Learn how to get online with confidence and better understand your connection options when away from home. This beginner-friendly class explains what VPNs are, how they work to add an extra layer of privacy when you are online, and when using one may be helpful. We will also discuss what security issues to consider when using Wi-Fi networks other than your home network. In addition, we will review other options to consider, including using your phone as a hotspot to connect to a laptop or tablet. The presentation will have a Q&A at the end so you can get any questions answered about this topic.
